What Markel Publishing is
Markel Publishing is the imprint behind Ben Markel's books. It exists to produce careful, readable work and to manage the practical side of editing, preparation, and publication.
It is not currently accepting open submissions or pretending to be a giant publishing house. But the underlying idea is simple: if someone arrives with a worthwhile manuscript, a willingness to revise, and something honest to contribute, the first response should be, “Awesome. What can we do to help?”
What matters
The name on the manuscript matters less than the quality and integrity of the work. Markel Publishing will not publish something merely because it can sell, and it will not put the brand behind careless, manipulative, or dishonest material.
Future help may include honest manuscript feedback, editing, formatting, cover and production coordination, guidance through Amazon KDP, and promotion through the existing Ben Markel platform. Each project will be considered individually.
